Camanchaca is engaged in industrial fishing in Chile as well as farming of Atlantic salmon, mussels and abalone.
Camanchaca began operating in Chile in 1965, catching and processing shrimp and langostino lobsters. In 1980, a change in leadership resulted in a new strategy to diversify into other sea products, including aquaculture. This decision led to consistent and continual growth. Currently, Camanchaca is engaged in industrial fishing in northern and southern Chile as well as farming of Atlantic salmon, mussels and abalone. It operates along 6,640 kilometers of coastline starting from the northern Chilean city of Iquique and stretching southward. This growth has earned the company a privileged position in international markets, exporting to more than 50 countries.
